Everything has its season, and autumn is the time for leaf peeping.
Here in the North Country, the trees begin turning colors early–beginning in mid-September–and peak around the first of October. The color display will linger through October, depending on the weather and when the first frost hits. But if you want to see Nature in all her glory, plan a visit anytime from the last week of September through the first week of October. Even the drive up, beginning at Crawford Notch northward, will present scenic views all the way!
