Even if you don’t know anything about fly fishing – even if the only fish you’ve ever caught were from the grocery store – you can still learn how to fly fish.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn the basics of fly fishing, you’ll get your chance at Lopstick’s upcoming Fly Fishing 101 class on July 8.
The small, hands-on class is perfect for beginners. The class is limited to just eight people and will be taught by at least one guide and one instructor, so rookie anglers can get plenty of instruction in a no-pressure environment.
The class will cover basic fly fishing information such as gear, fly selection, essential knots and more. It will also include a casting lesson, and students will hopefully even catch a fish or two in Lopstick’s pond.
The class will begin at 1 p.m. on July 8 and is expected to last between three to four hours.
Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to sign-up well in advance. You can sign up by calling the Lopstick office at 800-538-6659.
