Re-opening Status

Update: May 30, 2020

We are pleased to announce that we will be opening to all guests beginning Friday, June 5th, and are looking forward to hosting you for your summer stay in the North Country.

Due to the guidelines we must follow, our New Hampshire resident guests will need to provide ID upon check-in, and we are required to ask our guests from out of state to sign a document confirming that they and the members of their party have quarantined in their home for 14 days prior to their arrival.

For the safety of our guests, staff and community in general, you will notice some modifications to our normal operations, including remote check-in and check-out, modified housekeeping services, traffic and flow changes to our lobby and fly shop, and enhancements to our already rigorous cleaning protocol. We appreciate your patience as we work through these changes!

You can make your reservation online at, or by calling us at 800.538.6659, or 603.538.6659. If you can’t get through directly, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.

We can’t wait to see you back at Lopstick!

Update: May 22, 2020

Attention Pittsburg Anglers

Beginning Saturday, May 23rd, Lopstick’s Fly Shop will be open daily from 8AM to 3PM to service anglers fishing in the Pittsburg area.

Please note that we will be following certain guidelines to enhance the safety of our customers and staff. These guidelines include the following:

  • Our staff will be wearing masks and will perform enhanced cleaning of all high-touch areas in the shop throughout the day.
  • Serving customers one at a time, unless you are with a spouse or fishing partner.
  • While waiting for entry into the shop, please keep 6ft of distance from other customers outside.
  • One directional customer traffic flow; enter through the front door of the shop as normal, but exit out our side door.
  • In order to serve as many customers as quickly as possible, we will not be processing any fishing licenses for the foreseeable future.
  • We hope you understand the constraints to our normal operations and appreciate your patience as we work through these new guidelines for the first time.

We are still awaiting confirmation from the State as to when we can open to provide our guests with lodging, but in the meantime, if you need anything for fishing, please stop by and see us!

Tight lines,
Team Lopstick

Update: May 4, 2020

Dear Lopstick Guest,

As you may know, last Friday, May 1, 2020 the New Hampshire’s Governor announced modifications to the original “Stay at Home” order, and released the “ Stay at Home 2.0 ” order.

In essence, the “Stay at Home 2.0” order, allows for the State to begin the re-opening of certain businesses in a phased and controlled manner. Unfortunately, the order does not provide clarity to lodging facilities in general, and those in the North Country specifically.

We are working with a member of the Governor’s Task Force to Re-open the State to determine what exactly the 2.0 order means for a Lopstick opening date, and whether and when we can service guests from out of state. We will need another week to 10 days to determine whether we can achieve any clarity, so in the meantime, if you have made a reservation for a stay in May, feel free to keep it until we can confirm our dates, and we will waive our standard cancellation policy in the event that we cannot open prior to June 1st.

We are continuing to take reservations for June 1st and onward, so please visit our online booking engine at, or feel free to give us a call on 800.538.6659 or 603.538.6659. Should you find the phone engaged, please understand that we are working with a small staff from home, and leave a message with your name and contact details, we will return the call as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patronage, and look forward to seeing you in Pittsburg when this has all passed us by; in the meantime, stay safe and be well!

The Lopstick Team
