Our friends at the North Country Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring the big winter festival in these parts, called SnoFest.
It will be held March 6 & 7, 2020, at the Coleman State Park in Stewartstown, about 12 miles east of Colebrook on Little Diamond Pond.
There will be fun activities for all ages. In addition to a parade of antique snowmobiles, there will be demo rides on some of the new equipment on the many groomed trails in the park maintained by the Swift Diamond Riders club.
Weather permitting, there will be ice skating on the pond, snowshoeing in the woods, tubing, e-bikes, winter survival training and more.
The second annual mac-n-cheese cookoff will warm your insides, and there will be other food vendors on hand as well.
Activities run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and admission is free. (There will be a $10 fee for demo rides on the new machines).

The weekend of SnoFest 2020 is also the weekend chosen by the NH Fish and Game department for its Reciprocal Weekend when licensed snowmobile operators from neighboring states are allowed to drive New Hampshire’s trails.
As in years past, that means a lot of visitors are expected in the North Country, which is already the magnet for riders in New England. It’s bound to be great fun, so plan to visit us March 6-9, 2020 and bring your machines!
